A Fort Lauderdale police officer was shot during a standoff near a Holiday Inn Express.
The street around the hotel at 17th St & SE 15th Ave has been closed by authorities as the situation continues.
The injured officer is in stable condition, NBC6 reported.
Witnesses told the local newspaper that shots were fired at the hotel on Thursday morning.
