Fort Eisenhower on lockdown in Georgia due to ‘active threat’

A US military installation in Georgia was put on lockdown early Saturday morning.

Fort Eisenhower, in Augusta, posted on its official media pages that they would immediately initiate lockdown procedures.

They urged anyone in danger to ‘take appropriate action’, but did not comment on what prompted the introduction of the procedures.
