Valtteri Bottas has paid tribute to his second home, Australia, in a ‘legendary’ advert that has gone viral.
The former Mercedes man turned himself into a wannabe Aussie after growing a mullet and sharing his love of Victoria Bitter beer during a visit to Melbourne last year.
His transition into a makeshift Australian is partly inspired by his relationship with Australian professional cyclist Tiffany Cromwell, his girlfriend of four years.
And Bottas has gone one step further this year by showing off his acting skills in a commercial for Uber.
In the ad, the Finn shows off his custom-made Australian car, specially built for an Australian road trip.

The striking blue car has everything the typical Australian chap needs, including a meat pie heater, a pair of parakeet smugglers and a flip-flip holder.
He even generously said that he would let his fans rent the car for free since he is “already very rich.”
Unsurprisingly, Bottas has been praised for the hilarious advert, with fellow F1 driver Pierre Gasly calling him a ‘legend’ on Twitter.
Another fan asked in a comment on Reddit, “Why haven’t we adopted him yet?”
“This is hilarious,” said another. ‘Is he the best actor F1 driver?’
“Bottas just keeps winning as usual,” said a third fan.
Elsewhere, Max Verstappen has revealed why he hates taking part in the Netflix series Drive to Survive.
‘You don’t see me much on Drive to Survive, that’s why I don’t enjoy doing it. You probably don’t get the good side of me because it’s just an interview, I’m just sitting in a dark room and I hate that.
‘And there are always questions about F1-related things that I don’t like to talk about.
“They put a microphone in front of you and you have to talk about the season, just having a casual interaction, having fun.
‘I play padel with Daniel, which is a lot of fun. Besides, some things are just private, right? People don’t need to know what we do and what we say.’
