Formula 1 fans claim Taylor Swift took a swipe at driver Fernando Alonso on her new album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ following rumors of a romance between the duo last year.
Before Swift was wrapped in the arms of Travis Kelce, she was rumored to be dating Alonso, the 42-year-old who drives in Formula 1 for Aston Martin.
The double album, which was released on Friday at midnight, contains the song ‘imgonnagetyouback’.
In the song, Swift sings about an Aston Martin falling into a ditch.
Swift’s music catalog is full of songs about current and former flings, such as Harry Styles and Joe Jonas. Now Alonso could be in the crosshairs of the fourteen-time Grammy Award winner.

Alonso is a two-time Formula 1 world champion who has won 32 Formula 1 races
“Small talk, big walk, act like I don’t care what you’ve done. I’m an Aston Martin that you sent straight into the ditch,” Swift sings.
‘Then ran and hid. And I’ll tell you one thing, honey. I can take over and touch your body,” Swift continued. “Flip the script and leave like a stupid house party. Or maybe I just love you to the end (Ah-ah-ah).”
Neither Swift nor Alonso, 42, confirmed their romance, but internet rumors have taken on a life of their own, especially since “The Tortured Poets Department” came out.
“Wait…did they actually have a date then?” said one Formula 1 fan online.
“Taylonso will never die,” said another racing fan.
“Shading Fernando Alonso like this is insane, your relationship wasn’t that long, dramatic girl,” wrote another.
“FERNANDO ALONSO WHAT DID YOU DO TO TAYLOR SWIFT,” another commented.
Swift and Kelce have been publicly dating since last September, when she attended a Kansas City Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears.
And the penultimate song from her new album appears to contain several references to football and the three-time Super Bowl winner.
“The Alchemy,” the 15th track on “The Tortured Poets Department,” went viral in the minutes following the album’s midnight release. On the bridge of the song, the references to Kelce are the most obvious.
“Singing cheers because they said / There was no chance / Trying to be the best in the league / Where’s the trophy? / He just comes running to me,” she sings.
Then the chorus begins: ‘Touch down / Call up the amateurs and remove them from the team / Throw away the clowns, take the crown, baby, I’m the one you gotta beat / ‘Cause the mark on your heart said it’s still is reserved for me / Honestly, who are we to fight alchemy?’
Other parts of the song refer to ‘blokes warm'[ing] the banks’.
