Former Watford and Burnley striker Andre Gray is on his way to Saudi Arabia – even though their transfer window closed on Thursday.

Gray’s contract with Aris Salonika was terminated by mutual consent last week, allowing him to join Al-Riyadh as a free agent. The deal is expected to be confirmed soon.

The 32-year-old was a consistent goalscorer in England for several clubs, including Luton, Brentford and QPR, before joining Greece in 2022.

He married Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock earlier this year and also has 13 caps for Jamaica.

During his spells at Burnley and Watford, Gray made 115 appearances in the Premier League, scoring 23 goals while providing eight assists.
