Former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy reveals who he thinks is REALLY running Kamala Harris’ campaign

According to Kevin McCarthy, Vice President Kamala Harris is not in charge of her presidential campaign and is receiving a lot of support behind the scenes.

The disgraced former House Speaker claims that former President Barack Obama is secretly trying to get Harris elected in November.

In an interview with Cats Roundtable on Sunday, McCarthy pointed out that the vice president is hiring people for her campaign who were once part of Obama’s team.

“The Obamas are moving from the White House to running this campaign,” the California Republican said.

McCarthy, who was ousted as chairman last October, joins the chorus of Republicans who claim that Obama is running a shadow campaign and is actually pulling the strings.

“If you follow the campaign now, you see that some of Obama’s [key people such as] “David Plouffe and others are working on the campaign now,” McCarthy told anchor John Catsimatidis on 770 WABC.

Harris took over as the de facto Democratic nominee last month after President Joe Biden ended his re-election campaign.

Many of Obama’s top advisers now have roles in Harris’ 2024 presidential campaign.

Plouffe was Obama’s campaign manager in 2008 and later one of his top advisers in the White House. He is now Harris’ senior campaign aide.

Stephanie Cutler, who served as campaign manager during Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign, was hired as Harris’ senior adviser for strategic messaging.

The vice president’s campaign manager is Jennifer O’Malley Dillon, who worked on both the Obama and Biden presidential campaigns.

Democratic adviser Jennifer Palmieri was tapped to advise Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff. Palmieri previously served as Obama’s White House communications director. She also served in that role during Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.

And Eric Holder, who served as Obama’s attorney general, helped vet Harris’ running mate. The vice president announced Tuesday that she had selected Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz to join her 2024 ticket.

McCarthy was strongly opposed to Harris’ choice.

“This is by far … the most liberal ticket in the history of American politics,” McCarthy said Sunday. “We don’t want to carve up San Francisco and Minnesota across the country.”

The former House Speaker said it was a mistake to pass over Pennsylvania’s Jewish Governor Josh Shapiro.

“Any political scientist would tell you it all depends on Pennsylvania and Georgia,” McCarthy said of the outcome of the 2024 election.

Why would [Harris] “Skip Shapiro in picking a VP? Isn’t she going to stand up to her own party when they want to attack Israel?” he asked. “She wasn’t there when the prime minister of Israel came to speak to Congress. That’s her role and responsibility as president of the Senate.”
