Scottish rugby legend Stuart Hogg reportedly pulled out of organizing a 150th anniversary dinner in honor of his hometown club last week.
Hogg, 31, won 100 caps for Scotland before retiring ahead of this year’s World Cup, while also being selected for three British & Irish Lions tours.
Since his retirement, Hogg has been involved in various ventures, but was due to be the master of ceremonies (MC) at a celebratory dinner last Friday in honor of Hawick RFC, the club where he started his career, according to reports The sun.
However, the event, which was due to take place in Roxburghshire, went ahead without Hogg after news emerged on Thursday that he had publicly announced his relationship with TV presenter and former jockey Leonna Mayor.
To further clarify his new relationship, it came just a few days after his wife, Gillian Smith – from whom he is divorced – gave birth to their fourth child.

Hogg would share MC duties with former Scottish star Rory Lawson, and 600 tickets were sold for the event.
The 31-year-old had also tried to raise money for the dinner last week by promoting the charity auction on his Instagram stories, but the report claims he pulled out for fear of a row.
It is also stated that it was not clear whether Hogg had made the decision to drop out, or whether organizers had told him not to show up.
Instead, Hogg reportedly spent the evening with his three children.
The former rugby player split from Smith just six weeks ago, and seven years after their 2016 wedding, with the report claiming she is left heartbroken by how quickly Hogg moved on.

Last week, he had revealed his new relationship with Mayor by sharing Instagram stories of a romantic trip to the spa.
Mayor – who was labeled the ‘sexiest jockey alive’ in 2013 – now works as a racing expert and regularly appears on Sky’s At The Races show.
Meanwhile, former Glasgow Warriors and Exeter Chiefs star Hogg has joined TNT Sports as a rugby expert ahead of this season.
