Former producer Tucker Carlson drops lawsuit against FOX News
Former Tucker Carlson producer drops lawsuit against FOX News over alleged coercion in Dominion testimony – but plans to refile in separate court
The former FOX News producer who alleged network executives forced her to lie during her statement in the Dominion Voting Systems defamation case has dropped her lawsuit.
But Abby Grossberg is now expected to re-file the lawsuit in another jurisdiction, the New York Times.
“FOX would be mistaken to regard our client’s voluntary denial of her civil conspiracy claims as a retraction of those claims,” her attorney, Parisis G. Filippatos, told the outlet.
Grossberg had also filed a separate lawsuit against longtime host Tucker Carlson, complaining that he enabled a culture of misogynistic and sexist behavior on his show.
That lawsuit is still pending and may have been involved in FOX News executives’ surprise decision to fire him.
Abby Grossberg, who was fired from FOX shortly after filing two separate lawsuits against the network earlier this year, has withdrawn a lawsuit alleging that network executives forced her to lie when declaring Dominion Voting Systems.
Grossberg first filed the lawsuit against network executives, claiming she was pressured and coached by FOX attorneys to protect the company and lied in her affidavit in March before a Delaware court.
In a statement to DailyMail.com, a spokesperson for FOX News said, “The allegation that Ms. Grossberg was coached or intimidated to be dishonest during her Dominion ouster is patently false.”
She also said the network had “engaged independent outside counsel to immediately investigate Ms. Grossberg’s concerns” in her lawsuit against Carlson.
We will continue to vigorously defend Fox against its baseless legal claims that are riddled with false allegations against the network and our employees,” the spokeswoman said.
