A former Victoria Police senior constable has been charged after he was allegedly caught with 168 hours of sickening child sexual abuse footage.
Alan Hawley, 49, was hit with 110 criminal charges after he was found to have 19,856 child abuse images and videos on six devices.
The former senior officer faced the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court late last year where he indicated he would plead guilty to the charges.
Court documents obtained by the Herald Sun claim that almost half of the files depicted real children under the age of 13, while more than half were teenagers.
The devices are also said to contain a large amount of ‘computer-generated’ child pornography material, including two phones, three USB sticks and an SD card.
