Former NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio shows off VERY dark new hairstyle after he was spotted smooching mystery woman atop the Empire State Building

Former New York Mayor Bill de Blasio has been spotted with a very dark new hairstyle, just days after he was spotted hugging a mystery woman at the top of the Empire State Building.

De Blasio, 62, showed off his chocolate locks as he stepped into Manhattan’s Soho neighborhood on Wednesday after visiting Bite NYC restaurant with a friend.

His maroon appearance this week comes three months after he announced his divorce from his 27-year-old wife Chirlane McCray, 68, citing her previously declared homosexuality and the pressures of running the Big Apple.

The graying mayor first showed off his brunette style in October 2022, and his latest sighting comes after he was spotted packing on the PDA this week with an unknown woman while looking out from New York’s most iconic skyscraper.

Former New York Mayor Bill de Blasio was spotted with noticeably darker hair at Bite NYC in Soho, New York City, NY, USA on September 27, 2023.

The couple, pictured here, became one of the most high-profile biracial couples in American politics when they tied the knot in 1994.

According to eyewitnesses, the couple behaved ‘more like a couple than an affair’ Radaronline.

Those who witnessed the display reportedly said they enjoyed several cocktails.

Now that De Blasio appears ready to move on, his ex-wife was spotted having lunch with a friend for the first time since their shocking announcement in July.

McCray was all smiles as she enjoyed a lunch date in Brooklyn with her friend Karen Baicker, 62, who is a publisher at Scholastic.

Despite living separate lives and being revealing in a fawn New York Times profile they were ready to see other people, the two said they would continue living together — a move that one relationship expert warned could be a turn-off for potential partners.

The couple called their separation a “trial separation” as the former mayor said the cracks in his marriage worsened significantly when he made his disastrous 2020 run for president.

De Blasio’s long-term struggle to become the Democratic presidential nominee made him deeply unpopular at home, as he pursued what critics called a vanity project while ignoring his commitments in the Big Apple.

The Massachusetts-born McCray said she felt compelled to support the campaign despite her reservations about it.

“This is not something where you can break ranks,” she said. “That’s part of the difficulty of being part of a package.”

He also tried to explain away his bizarre hairstyle choices until he was 60, admitting that he “never expected to ever do anything with hair color.”

De Blasio said his maroon color is a little darker than he wanted, but added, “I like to feel what I feel.”

Both de Blasio and McCray’s forays into New York City have come with mounting legal pressure, with de Blasio fined nearly $475,000 earlier this year for abusing his personal police detail during his failed White House campaign.

He has appealed against the sentence.

McCray is also embroiled in a potentially expensive scandal as she struggled to explain where $850 million spent in 2019 on a mental health program she is involved with went.

The couple became one of the most high-profile biracial couples in America, but said the pressures of their status played a role in their eventual split.

De Blasio had begun therapy just as the virus hit New York City in early 2020, but found his efforts at self-improvement had been derailed by his controversial response to the pandemic.

“Everything was this overwhelming schedule, this kind of series of tasks,” de Blasio said. “And that took a little bit of our soul.”

“It made me very needy emotionally,” he admitted, adding, “We weren’t that connected.”

“I just want to have fun,” McCray said in the interview, adding, “It’s not that we didn’t have fun.” She has not said whether she will start dating women again now that her marriage to De Blasio has effectively ended.
