Former NFL star warns Travis Hunter over controversy involving his fiancee Leanna Lenee
Travis Hunter has been told he has only himself to blame for the criticism surrounding his relationship with fiancée Leanna Lenee.
Former NFL star and broadcaster Nate Burleson weighed in on the controversy surrounding Lenee and the college football star, who got engaged in February after two years together.
As the Colorado player accepted his award on stage, fans on social media were critical of his fiancée for not getting out of her seat to applaud him until head coach Deion Sanders asked her to stand.
It came a few days after she went viral over her response to Hunter taking photos with female fans.
Hunter has spoken out against the ‘haters’ of their relationship Burleson told TMZ: ‘It’s everyone’s business because that couple put it there.’

He added: “You can’t complain when people respond. That’s social media. You can’t say ‘mind your own business’ or ‘keep your opinion to yourself’ when you’ve shared it with everyone.”
Social media users targeted Lenee again after noticing she had a dollar sign tattooed on her ring finger.
Hunter, who played both cornerback and wide receiver for Colorado, is projected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
Burleson sympathizes with the Buffalo star, having dated his current wife Aloya while playing at the University of Nevada. At the time, he suggested, many assumed she was with him because of his NFL prospects.
“She was the trophy long before I started chasing them in the NFL. That could be the case in Travis’ relationship. I don’t know,” Burleson said.
“All I know is that I give them both grace. They are young! They’ll find out.’
