Former NFL star and Super Bowl winner Richard Sherman has been released from jail two days after his arrest for drunken driving in Seattle, according to reports.
Sherman, the five-time Pro Bowl cornerback who won the 2014 Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks, was arrested Saturday morning after he was stopped for going 75 mph in a 60 mph zone.
The 35-year-old reportedly admitted to drinking two margaritas before getting behind the wheel, while a police report also described his eyes as looking “bloodshot and watery” at the time.
After being taken to the King County Correctional Facility around 4:30 a.m., he spent the weekend there before being brought before a judge on Monday, who set his bail at $5,000.

According to TMZ Sportsthat amount was no problem for a former player who made millions over the course of his career, meaning Sherman was released two days after his first arrest.
Nevertheless, the Compton native is not only $5,000 lighter, but is also under a strict alcohol and marijuana ban.
It could also be that Sherman is experiencing one of his previous run-ins with the law again as a result of his latest arrest.
In March 2022, the Seahawks legend was sentenced to 24 months of supervised release after pleading guilty to criminal trespass and negligent driving.
Just weeks before he was set to begin serving his sentence, Saturday’s arrest for drunken driving could lead to the case being reexamined.
Sherman was a member of the 10-year NFL team for the 2010a and was a five-time Pro Bowl selection and three-time first-team All-Pro defensive back.

Selected in the fifth round by Seattle out of Stanford, he played 11 NFL seasons for the Seahawks (2011-17), San Francisco 49ers (2018-20) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2021).
He recorded 37 interceptions, returned three for touchdowns, forced five fumbles and recovered seven while making 495 total tackles in 144 games (136 starts).
As the leader of the Seahawks’ ‘Legion of Boom’ secondary, he won Super Bowl XLVIII with Seattle over the Denver Broncos in the 2013 season.
Sherman spent two seasons as an analyst for Thursday night pregame and postgame shows on Amazon Prime, and in 2023 he joined Fox Sports’ talk show “Undisputed.”
