Former MLB star Juan Jaime ‘dies at 37 after suffering heart attack’
Former MLB pitcher Juan Jaime has tragically died at the age of 37 after suffering a heart attack, according to reports.
Jaime enjoyed two seasons with the Atlanta Braves in 2014 and 2015, making a total of eighteen appearances during those campaigns.
But according to MLB insider Hector Gomez, via Sports illustratedthe Dominican died after a fatal heart attack.
Jaime’s career began when he signed with the Washington Nationals as an amateur free agent in 2007.
He pitched for their rookie-level Dominican Summer League team that year before spending a brief stint with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2011.
The right-hander signed with the Braves in August of that year, where he struck out 19 batters and walked 13 after facing 70 times.

The Dominican star had two seasons with the Atlanta Braves, in 2014 and 2015
In 2014, he posted a 5.84 ERA in 16 relief appearances before allowing one run in 1.1 innings over two appearances the following season.
Jaime finished his MLB career with a 5.93 ERA and a more favorable FIP of 4.38.
The Braves eventually traded him to the Los Angeles Dodgers as part of a six-player deal in 2015, only to spend the remainder of that season in the team’s farm system.
He then left the MLB and headed to Japan to play for the Chunichi Dragons before being released by two teams within a month after a failed move to Mexico.
