It appears Sofyan Amrabat’s ties with Manchester United have been severed for good as he has been removed from the club’s website.
Furthermore, the 27-year-old removed the Red Devils’ name from his social media bio after his loan period ended last season.
The development comes after it was revealed earlier this month that the Moroccan is still one of the midfielders listed on the club’s website player page.
Amrabat played last season on loan at Old Trafford, where he was loaned by Serie A club Fiorentina. Despite a disappointing period, he played 90 minutes in the surprising FA Cup final against Manchester City, which Erik ten Hag’s team won.
In total, the midfielder made 30 appearances for United last season, 21 of which were in the Premier League.

Erik ten Hag’s side paid more than £8million for a season-long loan for the Moroccan midfielder
In addition to his removal from the club’s website, Amrabat has also removed Man United from his Instagram bio
The alleged administrative omission led to speculation among fans that Amrabat would return to the club permanently this summer.
There were reports that new sporting director Dan Ashworth had drawn up a shortlist of five players, including Amrabat, Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana, Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi and Palmeiras’ Richard Rios.
Ten Hag’s side paid £8.5million to sign him on a 12-month deal from Fiorentina, but no decision has yet been made on whether to activate his £21.4million purchase option.
Furthermore, Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade stated in June that the Moroccan international wants to stay in England next season.
“I would keep him in Florence but it doesn’t seem to be what he has in mind,” he said. “I think he wants to stay in the Premier League but we haven’t heard from anyone since.”
Now it looks like a return to the North West is unlikely, with just one day left before the start of the new top-flight competition and the transfer window closing in just over two weeks.

However, United remain active in the market, completing the double signing of defensive duo Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
The pair signed for a combined £60million and have now been reunited with their former Ajax manager at United.
