‘Tough rehab ahead, but I’m on the mend’: Love Island’s Ollie Williams details his injuries after falling off a balcony in a horror accident, but he’s ‘confident’ he’ll make a full recovery
Former Love Island star Ollie Williams has detailed his injuries after falling off a balcony in a scary accident.
The winter 2020 series contestant, who is an aristocrat and professional hunter, shared a snapshot of himself recovering in his hospital bed in the intensive care unit.
Shared with his 48,000 followers on Instagram, Ollie, 25, thanked his girlfriend, family and friends as well as some ‘great surgeons’ after suffering a fractured pelvis, internal bleeding and a broken wrist.

“I wasn’t really ready to post this until I was out of the woods, and now I think I am (hopefully!),” Ollie wrote on Christmas Eve.
“I fell off a balcony last weekend and ended up in intensive care with a broken pelvis, wrist and internal bleeding.
‘With the incredible support of @lauranofer, my family and friends and some great surgeons; I’m getting better.
‘The rehabilitation lasts ahead, but I am confident that together with my doctors I will make a full recovery.

The future lord, a Cornish native and heir to the Lanhydrock Estate, rose to fame after appearing in South Africa’s first winter issue of Love Island in January 2020.

Her immediate choice was to pair up with Paige Turley, who won the show with her now-boyfriend Finley Tapp.
He told his fellow islanders about his love life, including cheating on his ex-girlfriend nine times, but dramatically left the villa after admitting he was still in love with her.
The couple is still together now and she has proven to be a huge part of his recovery following the balcony accident.
Next month, Love Island will return to screens over the winter for the second time.
Speaking ahead of his Love Island debut, Ollie introduced himself: ‘My father is Lord of Lanhydrock Manor. The family title is Viscount Clifden.
‘When my father dies or abdicates, as the eldest son, I will assume the titles and the inheritance. I am the heir to Lanhydrock.
The best chat line I’ve ever used is: “Do you know Polzeath Beach in Cornwall? I’m the owner.” That’s it. Chat line done.
The private unlimited company that owns Lanhydrock is estimated to be worth around £9.2m. It is run by Ollie’s father, Andrew, 52.
Socialite Ollie studied for a Bachelor of Science in Criminology at Royal Holloway University in London and currently works as a Junior Property Manager at Lanhydrock.
