Former Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho has reportedly been suspended by Montpellier after an alleged attack on his manager after training on Tuesday.
The 33-year-old, who is now under investigation by the club and is reportedly at risk of being sacked, had an eight-year spell in the Premier League, four of which he spent at Anfield before leaving the Reds to join Crystal Palace to add. 2017.
Sakho moved back to France to sign for Montpellier in 2021, but his days in Ligue 1 now appear to be numbered after a heated argument with the team manager.

Der Zakarian is said to have responded to Sakho’s walkout by telling the 29-cap France international that the session was ‘not à la carte’.
This comment angered Sakho, who responded by knocking Der Zakarian to the ground.
Players and staff quickly intervened to prevent the situation from escalating further, while Der Zakarian was left fuming and banging on the walls and doors to express his frustration.

The Frenchman has made just one brief substitute appearance in the league this season and that could prove to be his last appearance for the club.
Montpellier has had a difficult start to the season. They only took nine points from the first eight games, leaving them fourteenth in the table. Earlier this month, a match against Clermont Foot was also abandoned after the opposition goalkeeper was targeted by fireworks thrown by supporters.
Clermont Foot goalkeeper Mory Diaw was sent off, while his teammate Neto Borges was subsequently shown a red card for giving a middle finger gesture to the Montpellier fans.
The match was called off in extra time and Montpellier will soon find out what penalties they will face for the behavior of their fans.
