Former Home and Away star Kate Ritchie felt nostalgic over the weekend and returned to her old stomping ground, Palm Beach.

Palm Beach is used for the outdoor scenes of beloved soap operas to portray the fictional coastal town of Summer Bay.

The 44-year-old, who first rose to fame in the much-loved series where she played Sally Fletcher, posted a photo of herself taking in the view and soaking up the sun.

She wore a black baseball cap, T-shirt and a matching black hoodie draped over the shoulders as she walked to the area’s famous lighthouse.

The jury of Australia’s Got Talent referred to her past as a child star in the post.

Despite industry murmurs, Kate could be replaced by Ricki-Lee Coulter following her drink-driving charge, a network spokesperson confirmed that was not the case.

Kate overstepped the limit after being stopped by police in her blue Subaru station wagon for a random breath test on Aug. 22.

She was immediately arrested and taken to the Maroubra Police Station, where she underwent a secondary breath analysis that yielded a positive reading of 0.06, just a shadow above the legal limit of 0.05.

Kate was fined $600 on the spot and banned from driving for three months.

She has since apologized for her actions, saying she made a “bad decision.”

“Recently I did a random breath test. Although it was a low level, the test came back positive,” she wrote on Instagram.

Kate was stopped by police at 2:45pm on the day of the incident for a random breath test on Heffron Rd in Pagewood.

A police spokesperson told the Daily Mail Australia: ‘She was given a notice of infringement for the offense of driving with a prescribed low alcohol concentration and issued a notice of suspension of the license.’
