Former German youth international Agyemang Diawusie died at the age of 25 due to ‘natural causes’.
The tragic news was announced on Tuesday by his club, the German third division club Jahn Regensburg.
He played for a number of clubs in Germany, including RB Leipzig, while playing for the German Under-15 and Under-19 sides.
German publication BIL have reported that the right winger died of natural causes.
His last game took place on November 4 against 1860 Munich, where he was substituted after 39 minutes after complaining of breathing problems.

Diawusie represented Germany at youth level and spent most of his career in his home country

However, it is unclear whether this played a role in his death.
Jahn Regensburg posted a statement yesterday saying: ‘SSV Jahn received the terrible news on Tuesday that Jahn professional Agyemang Diawusie has passed away at the age of 25. The club is shocked and deeply saddened by this tragic event.
“The Jahn family mourns with the relatives and their thoughts are with the family, relatives, close friends and associates of Agyemang. Due to the terrible situation and out of respect for his family, we ask that their privacy be respected.’
Tributes poured in across German football, with clubs including Eintracht Frankfurt, Hamburg and Stuttgart all expressing their condolences to his club, family and friends.
Diawusie only returned to Regensburg in July after coming through the club’s academy as a youngster.
This season he made sixteen appearances in all competitions for the team.
After playing for RB Leipzig’s Under-19s, he then moved to German third-tier side Wehen Wiesbaden.
Diawusie also played in Germany’s second division for Dynamo Dresden and had a short spell in Austria with SV Ried.
