Former EastEnders star Stephen Rahman-Hughes has welcomed twin boys.
The 53-year-old actor, who played Adam Bateman on the BBC soap until 2019, took to Instagram to make the announcement, just 18 months after his wife gave birth to their daughter, Aphra.
He shared some adorable snaps of his latest additions, named Sonny and Remy, snuggling up in blankets and with their partner, Anjalina Mehra.
Stephen wrote in his caption: ‘Great news! Today my life took a huge turn. TWINS!!
I am in awe and torn to pieces after watching my wife @anjalimehra do it again but this time giving birth to 2 beautiful boys.
Congratulations! Former EastEnders star Stephen Rahman-Hughes has welcomed twins
We are beyond happy that Sonny and Remy have joined our clan and that they had such a beautiful arrival. If only Juney was here to welcome her new grandchildren.
That would have been even more perfect. It couldn’t have gone better: some may remember Anj having an incredibly difficult experience with Aphra (only 18 months ago).
‘They say ‘twice the trouble, twice the joy’ and we look forward to a riotous time with our 3 precious little angels.
‘We wished and tried for so long waiting patiently to have children. We have been truly blessed and we are very grateful.’
Stephen went on to thank the medical professionals at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for helping to welcome his bundle of joy.
He continued: ‘Thank you to the @stgeorgestrust team for your diligence, patience and painstaking hard work in these very difficult times for #nhs.
‘The staff we encountered showed a lot of compassion and care in difficult conditions. We are full of gratitude. Our most sincere thanks.
‘We can’t wait for you all to meet them – lots of love from us. Stephen, Anj, Aphra, Sonny Rain and Remy Jude x.
