A Gloucester County prosecutor has been investigating Tomafsky after Snapchat alerted the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to a child pornography incident.

Tomafsky allegedly received a photo of a child being forced into oral sex by an adult, court documents said after prosecutors were able to obtain Snapchat data via a warrant.

A State Superior Court judge authorized a search warrant for the home in Sewell Township where Tomafsky lives with his mother, executed on December 14.

The investigation revealed just under 1,000 items described as child sex abuse material.

“I stand behind Team Christie 100 percent and I want to make sure I do everything I can to serve him in the best way possible,” Tomafsky said in an email, according to the Globe.

Tomafsky would provide surrogacy appearances for Christie at various events.

On Christie’s recommendation, he was hired by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which manages transportation between neighboring states, as a representative of government and community relations.

He then worked on several Republican campaigns for the state legislature, in addition to supporting LoBiondi’s congressional activities.

According to his Facebook page, he had been working in the state of New Jersey since 2016, when Christie was in his second term. The page said he left that job in 2019, but he was still listed on the state’s employee directory on Friday.
