Raymond van Barneveld crashed out of the PDC World Darts Championships as Nick Kenny celebrated an emotional victory at Alexandra Palace.
Darts legend Van Barneveld, who won the PDC world title in 2007, entered this year’s event as the 32nd seed.
The 57-year-old suffered an accident before his second round match against Kenny, with the wrong song playing during his walk.
Van Barneveld was delayed while waiting for his famous ‘Eye of the Tiger’ walk, but the music cut out twice and a different song played as he made his way to the stage.
‘Barney’ then underperformed against Kenny, with the 31-year-old Welshman taking a two-set lead.
Van Barneveld pulled back into the match by winning the next set of the first-three clash.
