Former Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has announced he will retire from football after an injury suffered 12 months at Serie A side Salernitana.
Ribery joined Salernitana last September but was only able to start 17 league games in 2021-22 due to fitness issues.
The 39-year-old now has time for his career and confirmed the news with a statement on Twitter on Friday.
‘The ball stops. Not the feelings in me,” he wrote.
“Thank you all for this great adventure.”
