Ford Motor Company blames ‘compromised account’ for inflammatory anti-Israel X posts
Ford Motor Company on Monday blamed a “compromised account” for a series of anti-Israel posts.
The legendary automaker had published and quickly deleted three inflammatory posts on its X account, which has more than 1.4 million followers.
They read: ‘All eyes on Gaza’, ‘Free Palestine’ and ‘Israel is a terrorist state’, which caused a stir on social media as X-users demanded answers.
But the Dearborn, Michigan-based company has since suggested his account was hacked.
“Our X account was briefly compromised and the previous three messages were not authorized or posted by Ford,” it claimed. “They do not represent Ford Motor Company.
“Ford and X are investigating this breach.”
Many on social media had previously suggested that the person running the company’s social media would be fired for sharing his own thoughts on the ongoing war in the Middle East, while others accused the country of being anti-Semitic.
“Ford hates Jewish people,” one user claimed.

“What the hell is wrong with you @Ford?” activist Eyal Yakoby added, while Eitan Fischberger, a freelance writer, accused the person running Ford’s social media of being a “POS who forgot to turn off the account.”
Podcaster Lou Perez took a more humorous approach, noting that the founder had his own anti-Semitic views.
‘Who runs Ford’s social media? Henry Ford?’ Perez wrote.
Ford’s founder Henry Ford continued to do business with Nazi Germany throughout World War II, openly spoke out against the Jewish people and was even praised by Hitler himself.
Brianna Wu, the executive director of the Rebellion PAC, also focused on the company’s more than 120-year history.
“Ford in 1966: “We are going to get the attention of young people by beating Ferrari at Le Mans,” she wrote.
‘Ford in 2024: “We want to kill the Jews too.”
Others took a more moderate approach, noting that it is unconventional for a company to post about such a controversial topic.
“Have you ever wanted to be a social media intern at Ford?” blogger Courtney O’Dell wrote. “I think they’re hiring.”
Some accused the historic company online of being anti-Semitic
Still others appeared to support Ford’s post, including self-described journalist Sulaiman Ahmed, who argued that the company should “GIVE THIS FORD EMPLOYEE A MEDAL.”
The apparent hack comes amid the ongoing war in the Middle East, which began when Hamas terrorists kidnapped and killed Israelis at a music festival on October 7, 2023.
The attack has since spread across the region, with Houthi fighters recently firing a missile at Israel’s main airport in retaliation for the country’s forces targeting an airstrip in Yemen.
The rebel group responded to last Thursday’s attacks in Sanaa by bombing Ben Gurion Airport, which is just ten miles from Tel Aviv.
Israeli missiles struck the airport in Yemen’s capital as World Health Organization Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus was boarding a flight.
Three people were killed and dozens were injured, according to the United Nations.
Israel said its strikes targeted Houthi rebel infrastructure in Yemen, in retaliation for repeated volleys of rockets fired into central Israel by the rebels in recent days.
Officials in Israel said the Houthi missile was intercepted near Ben Gurion, but 18 people suffered minor injuries as they rushed to a bomb shelter and flights were delayed by half an hour.
