Panthers halfback Nathan Cleary has been spotted letting his hair down in the Big Apple after his Matildas star girlfriend Mary Fowler returned to Britain to play for Manchester City.
Australian sport’s hottest romance became public late last month when Fowler and a shirtless Cleary shared some tender moments in a Perth park – as the Matildas played Olympic qualifiers in the Washington capital.
The pair later took separate flights from the city, with Fowler heading to London via Dubai and Cleary returning to Sydney.
The 25-year-old NRL superstar is now traveling around New York with friends Mitch Kenny and Damon McCarthy.
Cleary was featured in a video clip on McCarthy’s Instagram page cheering in a club. The clip was captioned: “Early birthday to brother @_nathancleary.”

The high-profile sports stars’ romance was confirmed in a series of eye-catching photos taken exclusively for Ny Breaking Australia
Cleary, who orchestrated a remarkable comeback in the grand final against the Broncos last month that resulted in a three-peat premiership for the Panthers, has been busy in the off-season.
He was photographed in October at a party in Bali with his father and coach Ivan, mother Rebecca, younger brother Jett and sister Indi.
Cleary, who suffered a suspected tear to his posterior cruciate ligament in the grand final that kept him out of the Kangaroos’ Pacific Championship series, appears to be moving a lot better without a knee brace.
Last Wednesday, Drink West – the beer brand founded by Cleary and Sydney-based UFC stars Tai Tuivasa and Tyson Pedro – released a series of videos on Instagram showing Cleary finally out of the bracket.
In the video clips – which appear to have been filmed during the production of a commercial for the brewery – Cleary can be seen sitting in the back of a ute, posing with fans and pouring beer at the Drink West brewery.
Cleary was also pictured posing with former NFL star Todd Gurley during race day at the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
Meanwhile, Fowler failed to prevent Manchester City losing to Brighton as the Matildas star dropped a third game in a row since returning to England after her whirlwind two-break spell Down Under.
Fowler failed to find the net as her side lost to the Seagulls on Sunday. She played the full 90 minutes as City fell to a 1-0 defeat.

However, compatriot Sam Kerr has ended a quiet spell for Chelsea by returning to her usual productive ways with a second goal of the Women’s Super League season in their victory over Everton.
As injury concerns and a return trip home for the Olympic qualifiers meant England’s campaign got off to a largely unproductive start for the two-time Golden Boot winner, Kerr struck in deadly style on Sunday to help the champions complete a 3-0 stroll.
