Footy star who was slammed by the AFLW for carrying a rude and violent message during the match reveals the different, heartwarming catchphrase she took to the field
The footy star at the center of an argument over a violent slogan on her shoulder strap has revealed another heartwarming message written about herself during the same match.
This week, Jess Hosking was knocked down by the AFL after the words ‘kill b****es’ were written on her shoulder strap during Richmond’s semi-final defeat to North Melbourne.
Beneath the “kill b****es” message was a reminder to “HAVE FUN,” and on Thursday the league sought an explanation from the Tigers on the explicit wording before slapping both Hosking and the club with an official warning.

Hosking apologized for the blemish and the AFL confirmed she would not be penalized.
Now the 26-year-old has taken to Instagram to shed light on her good intentions ahead of the competition, where she walked hand in hand with two children.
‘Very special moment walking away with these 2 gaps for my 50th [game] ❤️,” she posted.
Hosking was born with a cleft lip and palate, which put her through 17 hospitals and spent much of her childhood in and out of hospitals, and she has long supported charities that help children with cleft speech sound disorder (SSD).
On her left shoulder was the message: ‘I ❤️ SSD kids’ and below it was the word: ‘CLEFTSTRONG’.
However, she took to Instagram to share a more heartwarming message on Thursday

In the Instagram post, Hosking appeared to have photoshopped the crude message that landed her in hot water with the AFL.
AFLW superstar and Tigers teammate Monique Conti posted a cheeky joke in response to Hosking’s post, writing: ‘Show us the other shoulder’.
The AFL said: ‘Hosking was extremely sorry and deeply disappointed in her actions. The AFL has since accepted a letter of apology from Jess and issued an official warning to the club and Jess regarding the offensive language.”
Hosking joined Richmond this year after making 30 appearances for Carlton since the 2017 inaugural season, playing alongside twin sister Sarah.
