Footy star looks unrecognisable after extreme summer makeover leaves fans stunned

  • Josh Dunkley has shown off an extreme makeover
  • The Lions pistol has opted for a shaved head look
  • He previously had a classic haircut with short back and sides

As football stars return to pre-season training after an extended offseason, fans will get a chance to see who has been working hard leading up to the upcoming season.

Typically, younger stars are bulking up and older players seem to be slimming down, while a select few try to show off a new look they’ve been working on over the summer.

Footy fans have already been left stunned as GWS star Harry Himmelberg went for a bleached buzz cut, while his teammate Lachie Ash stepped out with a new beard.

But none of these looks have matched what Brisbane Lions star Josh Dunkley has brought to the table.

The former Bulldogs midfielder returned to Lions training without cutting his usual short back and sides, opting instead for a shaved head, which caught the attention of many fans.

“What the hell are they doing with Josh Dunkley in Brisbane,” one fan joked.

“I honestly had to do a double take… OMG,” said another fan, while a third added, “It’s not growing back Josh! But a first-class appearance.’

Dunkley has endeared himself to the Lions faithful after leaving the Bulldogs for Brisbane early last year.

The midfielder averaged 24 disposals and was above average in possession in a hugely impressive first year at the club.

Brisbane fell agonizingly short of premiership glory last year, losing the grand final to Collingwood by four points.
