Footy fans SLAM Mark Seymour’s ‘flat’ performance at the AFL Grand Final

Footy fans have visited Mark Seymour after the Hunters & Collectors star’s abysmal performance at the AFL Grand Final.
Seymour, 67, took center stage at half-time after a thrilling two-quarter action between Collingwood and Brisbane at the MCG on Saturday afternoon.
But the Australian music legend – alongside Kate Miller-Heidke – was unable to match the energy of the 36 players on the football field in what fans described as a lifeless performance of Holy Grail, among others.
“One of the worst halftime shows of all time,” posted a fan on Twitter, now known as X. “Wtf was Mark Seymour doing.”
Another said: ‘Why is this the worst version in the history of the Holy Grail? It’s Mark Seymour, it should smoke. Jesus, someone’s pulling the plug.’

Some fans compared the performance to that of a pub singer.
“Mark Seymour playing a chilled acoustic beer garden in the middle of the MCG is not worthy of the Grand Final,” said a third fan.
Another added: ‘I love Mark Seymour but it feels like I’m in a pub having a nice arvo sesh and some guy with a guitar comes out and starts singing covers, destroying the atmosphere.’
“I’m a huge fan of Kate Miller-Heidke… and absolutely love Mark Seymour & Hunters… but this is a bit on the heels of the two quarters we just saw. Beautiful harmonies, but not a spot on the foot.’
