Footy fan high-fives rising superstar Harley Reid – and you won’t believe what she did straight afterwards

  • Fan was thrilled after interacting with AFL star Harley Reid
  • Bizarre act performed after midfielder gave a high five
  • Reid, 19, was a standout for West Coast in his debut season

A footy fan has been caught on camera giving AFL young gun Harley Reid an eager high-five before immediately licking her hand.

As the West Coast Eagles were defeated by 99 points by the Crows at Adelaide Oval on May 26, the supporter in question didn’t seem to mind.

After the high-five with Reid just after full-time, the woman could be seen licking her hand as she cherished the brief physical interaction.

It comes as Reid continues to impress for Adam Simpson’s men in his debut season of senior footy.

Last year’s number one National Draft selection is receiving high praise – and he has more than lived up to expectations this season with some impressive performances on a team that has won just three games.

Eagles teammate Tom Barrass branded Reid a ‘real freak’ – and such is the hype surrounding him, with the 19-year-old being tipped to become the first player to earn $2 million per season in the future.

β€œI’ve never seen anything like that,” said 28-year-old defenseman Barrass.

‘He’s a lovely guy and a lovely character. I enjoy seeing him play good football.’

Even Reid’s rivals are taking notice, including double Brownlow medalist Lachie Neale.

β€œHe’s a pretty special talent,” the Brisbane Lions star said.

β€œI wouldn’t mind having his strength and physicality. Those features would be nice.

β€œSome of his highlights are already incredible. He’s going to be a superstar for a long time.”
