NRL superstar Reece Walsh has made some lifelong fans after stopping to give a supporter and his young son a lift following Brisbane’s 26-16 test defeat to Wynnum Manly on Saturday.

The surprised footy fan took a selfie with the 21-year-old Broncos fullback, which later appeared on Rugby League Guru’s Facebook page.

“Mate walked to the car after the game, Walshy picked him up and drove him and his son to the car,” the person who took the photo wrote.

The move was widely praised by footy fans online.

“Champion on and off the football field,” wrote one Facebook user.

“That’s legendary stuff,” another replied.

“Such a legend already,” said a third.

Another person present at the game described an earlier Walsh encounter they witnessed that day.

“Was at the Wynnum and Broncos game yesterday and after the game he walked up to a large group of kids who called him out and spent time with them,” he wrote.

“He didn’t have to do that.”

Meanwhile, Walsh was finally granted a visa last week to enter the US for the double header in Las Vegas on March 3

In September 2021, Walsh was charged with possession of cocaine after previously ignoring a police officer’s order to move on from a party venue in Surfers Paradise.
