Geelong great Billy Brownless has opened up about his new relationship after attending the Australian Open with his girlfriend.
The 55-year-old man told the herald sun on Wednesday, he is “very happy” with his new girlfriend, Justine.

Soccer legend Billy Brownless has said he is “very happy” with his new girlfriend, Justine, six years after their marriage ended in betrayal when his wife started dating his best friend, Garry Lyon.
The couple met at the AFL Grand Final September Club in 2019 and began dating almost six months later.
Justine works in client relations and is the mother of two children.
She recently joined Billy and her friends Erinn Montagna and Leigh Montagna for a vacation in Fiji.
‘Everything is going well. Taking it a week at a time as they say. We are very happy and it’s nice to be outside,’ she said.
Football fans will no doubt be happy to see Billy open up to love again after his 18-year marriage to wife Nicky ended sensationally in 2016 after she began dating his best friend, AFL star, Garry Lyons.
Both men’s marriages had ended before Nicky and Lyon announced they were a couple, but Billy still felt betrayed because he had been assured they were just “good friends.”
After five years of bad blood, Billy and Garry began taking steps towards reconciliation in 2021 when Brownless said they were in a “good place”, before spending Christmas Day together.

Billy’s daughter, Lucy, described the lunch among the blended families as “really special.”
‘It worked very well and it was all very positive. We are all happy and glad to all be together. It was a great day. We were all very excited about it,’ he told the Herald Sun at the time.
Billy broached the subject with fellow AFL greats Sam Newman and Don Scott on an episode of the pair’s You Cannot Be Serious podcast in September.
He admitted that although he had not fully mended his friendship with Lyon, he said that the pair “could” be a couple like before at some point.
