Foodies are in an uproar at a ‘British tapas night’ that many are calling ‘beige’, ‘undercooked’ and ‘a dinner for five-year-olds’.

A group of friends in Britain hosted a dinner party with a range of frozen snacks including potato waffles, nuggets, sausage rolls, fish fingers and garlic and called the event British Tapas Night.

However, not everyone was impressed with the party and were quick to share their criticism.

‘My kind of dinner’ a video on Instagram was captioned and showed the series of junk food.

The home chefs hailed their meal, which also included bowls of chips, baked beans, biscuits, dips and soft drinks, as the ‘best in the world’ as they chanted ‘British tapas’ in the background.

“50 shades of beige,” a second joked.

‘Never underestimate how the British manage to overcook the whole thing and then burn the pizza. What a nation,” laughed a third.

Another added: “I died inside watching this video.”

One guy said it looked like a “dinner for five year olds,” and the other said

However, not everyone was upset about the spread, with some saying they would ‘devour’ every dish.
