Foodie gives new KFC mashed potato balls a scathing review: ‘We’re spoiled for choice these days’

  • KFC fans are outraged by the ‘disappointing’ return of mashed potatoes
  • Many claim they are “worse” than frozen purees available in supermarkets

Some KFC fans have been bitterly disappointed by the fast food chain’s mashed potato balls, claiming they are no different from supermarket frozen foods.

A chemical engineer by trade, Russ has captured the hearts of millions with his hilarious and often scathing food reviews.

He recently reviewed the fan favorite menu item – which has only just been brought back for the first time since 2011.

In a recent video on his popular “Russ Eats” account, the foodie gave the dish a seven out of 10, largely due to its nostalgic value.

“They’re pretty good, and they have the KFC flavor, but they remind me of the McCain potato smileys,” he said. “But they taste a bit softer.”
