A Florida woman who went viral after claiming she married her stepfather has come clean about their relationship, saying her husband is actually her late brother’s best friend, not her mother’s ex.
Christy, who goes by the username @Christywho_, surprised TikTok last week when she shared a six second video of herself passionately kissing her ‘stepdad’ at their Las Vegas wedding while her friends applauded.
“Marrying my stepdad was the best decision I’ve ever made,” the 26-year-old wrote in the text on the screen. She added the hashtags #marryyourmomsex and #agegap in the caption.
Christy has since claimed it was a joke and admitted that their real love story “isn’t nearly as interesting” as the one she made up.

Viewers also had plenty of questions for Christy, who doubled down on her outrageous claims in a follow-up clip in which she still referred to her husband as her stepfather.
