A mother who spent thousands of dollars on a ‘mommy makeover’ has revealed why she regrets having plastic surgery.
TikTok user Ebonie, 33, from Florida, showed off her string bikini transformation in a recent video, saying she had breast implants, a tummy tuck and liposuction two years ago.
The content creator, who is known as @thee_eboniebexplained that she was happy with the results overall, but she realized it wasn’t worth risking her life for.
“Just thought I’d be 100% transparent with you about my mom’s recovery surgery,” she wrote in the caption.

‘Yes, I may look good…but I would never do it again, under the same circumstances, EVER! The risk is too high and it could cost me my life.’
Ebonie was particularly shaken by the death of former Wild ‘N Out star Jacky Oh, who died of complications from cosmetic surgery at the age of 32 on May 31.
The late mother-of-three had flown to Miami to have liposuction and fat transferred to her buttocks, a procedure known as a Brazilian butt lift (BBL).
“Looking at the way she tragically lost her life and was taken away from her children, do I feel like I was being selfish? Did I really have to?’ said Ebony.
“I had a lot of loose skin, so no matter how much weight I lost, I always looked like I was pregnant. But was it worth almost dying for?’
Ebonie claimed she was given no pain medication or antibiotics after her surgery, which could have caused her to develop a life-threatening infection.
She said she suffered complications, but they were resolved without hospitalization.
The mum explained that it was hard to think that she could have lost her life just because she ‘wanted to look a certain way’ and ‘not have thin skin’.

“It makes you take a step back and look at yourself… I just felt like I made a selfish decision even though I survived,” she admitted.
Ebonie also recalled how she experienced body dysmorphia after her mother’s makeover, saying she began to think about fixing other parts of her body.
‘Spiritually and mentally you have to do the work. No surgeon will be able to fix this,” she explained. “There are still things I struggle with because I’m human.”
A mommy makeover is also expensive — the average cost can range from $9,000 to $20,000, according to American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Ebonie believes she got her money from the procedures, but she still regrets getting them in the first place.
‘Would I go under the knife again? No, I wouldn’t,” she said.
“Just remember that once you start fixing things, you’ll notice every other little thing that you don’t think looks right,” she added.
