Florida husband’s cunning trap before shooting dead his estranged wife and wounding their dog two weeks after separating – as his chilling texts emerge
A Florida man allegedly shot his estranged wife and injured their dog after setting a cunning trap to capture her.
Timothy Kramer, 51, was lying in wait in the couple’s Pensacola home when his wife Rosa, 47, came to pick up her belongings, police said.
Authorities believe the shooter deliberately parked his pickup truck in the backyard so it would not be seen before opening fire. Pensacola News Journal defeated.
βIt is reasonable to believe that Timothy Kramer attempted to hide his vehicle behind the fence to prevent Rosa Kramer from knowing he was in the residence,β a police report from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office said.
Once inside, Kramer allegedly shot Rosa in the head and wounded their seven-year-old dog, Cody. The dog was rushed to the animal clinic but survived.

He is charged with first-degree murder and aggravated animal cruelty.
βIn the bedroom I observed a significant amount of blood on the floor and surrounding areas along with some bloody footprints leading from the bedroom to the hallway,β the police report said.
The couple had only been separated for two weeks when the incident occurred on Tuesday.
The alarm was raised after Rosa could not be reached by phone. When they arrived on Hillcrest Drive, officers discovered her body.
Kramer was arrested by Milton Police in Santa Rosa County and was in the company of an unknown woman.
The woman told police that Kramer had said he shot his wife in self-defense.

According to police, the couple had been separated for two weeks when the incident occurred. Kramer allegedly parked his truck in the back so he could sneak up on his wife
Kramer is also accused of shooting their dog Cody, 7, who survived the ordeal
“She stated that Timothy Kramer called her around 6 a.m. and confessed that he had shot Rosa Kramer and that he had done it in self-defense,” the police report said.
‘(Redacted) said she urged Timothy Kramer to contact police and explain the situation to avoid problems.’
However, police determined that Kramer had told “a fictitious story” leading them to “believe he had not gotten into trouble in relation to the incident.”
Text messages between the suspect and the unknown woman state: ‘It’s good that I did this, it’s my fault.’
According to the report, a man allegedly told police he was concerned about Rosa’s relationship with her ex after she left him. “He began calling her and threatening to shoot himself if she didn’t come back.”
