Florida police are hunting a gunman who opened fire outside a school with an Uzi automatic pistol.
Jahfahree Prince Edwards fired shots at several teenagers during a fight down the road from Spoto High School in Riverview, Hillsborough County.
The conflict between two girls led to one of them calling the gunman to the scene on February 16. Edwards then showed up and started shooting.
Video released by police shows him wearing a hoodie and holding the gun in his right hand as a group of teenagers force their way into two cars.
The gunman then runs across the sidewalk and pulls out the Uzi, as terrified students run for cover.
After returning to fire the weapon from the road, Edwards is seen fleeing the area, still with the gun in the firing position.

You see terrified students running for cover as shots are fired. The shooter then runs down the sidewalk and pulls out the Uzi, firing it from a low stance, before running away, and then coming back and firing it from the road.

The shooting happened in front of the gated entrance to the Osprey Lakes West subdivision, near the corner of Eagle Palm and Breezy Palm driveways, down the street from the high school.
“When incidents like this happen, it takes the wind out of our sails, and we wonder how much more we have to do to really get this message across to people, to our children and young adults, that you don’t” You don’t have to not to pick up firearms in response to anger or a temporary situation,” Freddy Barton, executive director of Safe & Sound Hillsborough, told Fox 13.
Barton launched a program specifically for juvenile gun offenders in 2022, graduating 44 teens in the past 18 months.
“Here at our center, in our program and in the community, we talk to kids about anger management and coping skills and how to defuse the situation so that you don’t have to put yourself in a situation where your life or someone else’s life could be be tragically taken away,” Barton added.
