An 18-year-old mother has been arrested after photographing herself stomping on her 10-month-old baby’s head to win back her ex-lover.
Alicia Brea, from Hollywood, Florida, was taken into custody and charged with child abuse after sending the photo to her friend and the child’s father.
Broward County Sheriff’s Office officers responded to a 911 call from Brea’s girlfriend after she received the photo on May 9.
Officers soon arrived at the suspect’s home, but saw no visible injuries on the baby.
Alicia Brea was taken into custody and charged with child abuse after sending a photo of her stomping on her baby’s ear to her friend and the child’s father.
According to the police report, Brea was asked to sign a consent form so responders could use her phone and read her messages.
After thoroughly searching her phone, officers reportedly found the photo of Brea stepping on her child’s face.
They discovered that the suspect had clicked the images after breaking up with the baby’s father and sent them to see if he would “get back to her.”
‘[Brea] stated that she was angry with her baby’s father and sent him a photo of her steps [with her right foot] on the baby’s head to see if the baby’s father would return to her,” the affidavit said.
‘[Brea] stated that she and the baby’s father had broken up earlier today [she] was very upset.
‘The baby was wearing the same outfit [in the photo] when officers made contact.”

Brea was later released on $20,000 bail and ordered by the judge to wear a GPS monitor, have no contact with the child, undergo a mental health evaluation within ten days and comply with doctor’s recommendations .
Authorities later said the suspect claimed she also sent more photos of the unharmed child to the father — to prove she would “never hurt the baby.”
The young child was then given to Child Protective Services and Brea was transported to the Broward County Jail.
She was later released on a $20,000 bond and ordered by the judge to wear a GPS monitor and not have any contact with the child.
Brea was also told to undergo a mental health evaluation within 10 days and adhere to the doctor’s recommendations.
