Global travel technology company FlixBus has partnered with fintech major Paytm to expand its distribution network, they said in a joint statement on Tuesday.
With this, FlixBus tickets are now available through the Paytm app.
“This partnership is expected to drive substantial growth for both companies, expand Paytm’s travel capabilities and strengthen its position in the travel industry. At the same time, FlixBus will benefit from Paytm’s vast customer base and technological expertise,” the statement said.
“By encouraging more people to travel by bus, we can significantly reduce emissions and have a positive impact on the environment. We believe it will significantly improve the travel experience for millions of users,” said Surya Khurana, Managing Director, FlixBus India.
Shares of Paytm closed at Rs 459.75 apiece on the BSE, down 2 percent from the previous close.
