Flinders Park: Frightening early morning wake-up call after car crashes into Adelaide home

A disqualified driver is due to appear in court on traffic charges after allegedly crashing into the front of a house and leaving a trail of destruction.

The 39-year-old South Australian man fell through the gate of a house in the western Adelaide suburb of Flinders Park at around 1am on Sunday.

Photos from the scene show a blue Mitsubishi sedan crashed through the fence and damaged a front wall before crashing into the front yard.

The crash also caused extensive damage to the facade of the house, with broken bricks strewn across the porch.

Paramedics took the man to hospital where he will undergo a mandatory drug and alcohol test.

“Police checks showed that he was already banned from driving and that his vehicle was not registered,” police said on Sunday.

‘He has been reported for traffic offenses and will appear in court at a later date.’

“His vehicle was towed from the scene.”
