He captioned the clip: #Flightattendant. In the video, Kevin responded to a pilot's comment who advised travelers not to drink the coffee on board a plane.
'Airplane Coffee: Yes, I agree. I think it's disgusting. “You really need to get to the airport ten minutes early and buy coffee in the terminal,” he said.
Kevin noted that the fact that the water tanks are “rarely cleaned” “should be the least of your concerns.”
The flight attendant then explained how cabin crew clean coffee pots.
“For me, it's always been the way flight attendants have to clean up coffee pots,” he said.
Kevin then commented that they have to empty coffee pots in the 'toilet'.
'For whatever reason, we are not supposed to empty coffee pots into the sewer, but dump them into a toilet.
“So if you take a coffee pot and you dump it in a toilet, in order not to make a huge mess everywhere, you have to get a little bit close to the toilet and I would imagine there would be some kind of backsplash of bacteria particles that would go right back into end up in the coffee pot and then back into the coffee maker,” he explains.
People flooded the comments section expressing their shock at Kevin's advice
He advised people not to drink coffee on a plane unless “the airline you're flying with has an espresso machine.”
Kevin also revealed that cabin crew often use Google passengers and they only get paid when the plane doors close, meaning they don't get paid during boarding.
He also said that seat pockets are never cleaned and that planes are unlikely to divert if a passenger dies in the air.
People flooded the comments section expressing their shock at Kevin's advice.
One person said: 'Coffee and tea, that's a no for me. Give me ginger beer.”
Someone else commented, “I always cringe when I see people ordering coffee on a plane. Like this has been around for a while.”
Another user added: 'That coffee is absolutely wild. Is anything coming up?'
“I am traumatized,” one person wrote.
