Flight attendant reveals secret code name that indicates you’re getting ‘BAD SERVICE’ onboard
A flight attendant has revealed the secret code name for obnoxious passengers – and why you should be on your best behavior when you hear it.
The unidentified airline employee spilled the beans on the one word to look out for on a flight, saying it indicates someone has upset the crew members and will be dealt with accordingly.
“If you’re labeled ‘Philip’ you’ve done something wrong and you can probably expect poor service for the rest of the flight,” the flight attendant said. The sun.
Unlike the name Karen, which is associated with problematic middle-aged white women, the use of Philip has evolved from an acronym.

“That name is derived from the term PILP – Passenger I’d Like to Punch – but has changed over time and become a bit more subtle,” the crew member said.
The flight attendant added that if you want to avoid being called a “Philip,” you should refrain from certain behaviors.
Ringing the bell incessantly, hanging out in the aisles, and getting in the way of crew members are all guaranteed ways to annoy crew members during a flight.
Flight attendant Destanie Armstrong, 25, from Philadelphia, recently went viral on TikTok after spilling tea about the infuriating things passengers do that make her job harder.
She explained that the most frustrating thing she faces is boarding.
Armstrong admitted that she strongly prefers greeting passengers at the front of the plane rather than working the aisles.
‘I don’t like working in those rear positions, where you have to assist people while boarding. Do you want to know why? Because people make our lives very difficult for no reason,” she said.
‘People will argue about the smallest things. People don’t want to sit in the right seat and get angry when they have to go to the right seat.

Armstrong admitted that she hates working in the back of the plane during boarding because people “fight over the littlest things” and “don’t want to sit in the right seat.”
“People want to move to an upgraded seat when they can’t move to an upgraded seat. People want the flight attendants to lift their bags when the flight attendants are not supposed to lift their bags,” she continued.
“If the flight is completely sold out and we know we have no more room in the overhead bin, people will fill the overhead bins with their coats, handbags and small items that can be placed under the seat in front of them.”
Armstrong added that no matter how many times they say that “everyone’s cooperation will be greatly appreciated,” they are ignored by passengers.
She explained that she was raised “very considerate” and that she would never treat anyone the way she is treated as a flight attendant.
“I just couldn’t imagine living in a world where I shut everyone out and I don’t care about others,” she said.
“So it really frustrates me when people are just rude or inconsiderate.”
