- A flight attendant has begged passengers not to enjoy themselves too much in the terminal
- “Please don’t make it noticeable when you get on the plane,” she reasoned
- She further wants to explain that she cannot legally allow drunk passengers
A flight attendant has issued a stark warning to airline passengers with a penchant for pre-travel drinks at the airport before boarding a plane.
The employee, who works with a major US airline, made a plea via TikTok to those who might be tempted to indulge in too many drinks in the terminal.
“This is a PSA for anyone who likes to drink at the airport,” she began.
‘Please don’t make it obvious when you get on the plane. I don’t want to rip you off. You don’t want to feel ashamed. You don’t want to miss your flight.
“It’s a win for both of us,” the frequent flyer pleaded.

‘Don’t make it obvious. Don’t be stupid,’ she said. “If you can’t handle your alcohol, figure it out.
‘Don’t get drunk, because we are legally obliged to kick you off the plane if you appear drunk.
“It’s not me, like I’m a buzzkill. Okay?’ she concluded.
It is an international industry standard not to allow visibly intoxicated passengers on board aircraft.
And the Specific US Federal Aviation Regulationsy that airlines “may not allow anyone to board one of their aircraft if that person appears to be intoxicated.”
Drunken passengers who cause sufficient disruption on board a flight may face consequences ranging from fines to a ban from flying on board the airline in question in the future.
It is also important to keep in mind that higher altitudes can increase the effects of alcohol intoxication.
Dozens responded to TikTok’s comments, with some making light of airport drinking while others shared cautionary tales
In addition, drunken passengers have been known to harass or even attack cabin crew, and in the event of an emergency, they can pose an additional danger to themselves and others.

“Imagine how drunk you must be for them to say, ‘You’re too drunk to sit in a chair,’” one person mused.
“I literally bring my to-go cup filled with wine from the lounge on board lol,” another admitted.
“At 6:30 recently they had to carry a drunk lady off the plane while I waited for my flight – big yiks,” said a third.
‘I once had to help a woman board her flight. She was beaten at the bar. She made the run,” a fourth offered.
In any case, the warning does not come out of the blue, given the numerous reports of drunk and belligerent travelers, many of which even make headlines.
Earlier this spring, DailyMail.com reported on a woman who became drunk in the Dallas-Fort Worth terminal after she was banned from boarding her flight to Colombia because she was visibly intoxicated.
She also allegedly assaulted at least one airline employee during the episode.
Before being removed from the airport, she verbally assaulted police officers and urinated on herself before being loaded into a police car.
And in May, an exhausted Manchester fan was escorted from his flight as other passengers cheered his departure.
