- Leighton Bester, from Salford, says creepy encounters happen every day at his home
- The incidents started after he found a coin in his neighbour’s banging cupboard
A man claims objects in his flat started moving around the house of their own accord after he brought home a historic coin.
Leighton Bester, from Salford, shared on TikTok a clip of one of his chairs dramatically sliding around his room, seemingly without any human assistance, which he says is a sign of ‘paranormal activity’.
The 34-year-old claims this is one of many creepy activities that have taken place in his flat since he found a 1965 Winston Churchill coin in his neighbour’s cupboard and took it home.
As the segment progresses, Leighton’s blinds appear to turn sharply, again with no apparent human intervention, and he says he’s bringing in a priest to solve the problem.
He says in the clip: “I’m leaving…that’s the last straw guys. I’ll have to move tonight.’

Leighton claims the ‘entity’ has been wreaking havoc multiple times a day – at all hours – for the past week.
The 34-year-old added that the unusual incidents started when he found a 1965 Winston Churchill coin in his neighbour’s locked kitchen cupboard.
‘I noticed strange things a week ago. The first incident was a loud banging coming from a kitchen cupboard,” he said.
The strange encounters began immediately after he returned to his flat with the coin.
Leighton admits he initially felt ‘more vulnerable’ when the lights were off, and has now grown accustomed to the eerie incidents.
‘I’m not sure how or why this started. I think it has something to do with the coin I found and it must be cursed or something,” he said
“When it first started it was scary, but now it’s more annoying than anything. It’s like having a naughty roommate.’
He added: ‘I’m not part of the paranormal community and don’t really believe in ghosts, but I can’t explain what’s going on.
‘Things can’t just move on their own. I think it’s a kind of ‘energy’ that attaches itself to me.’
But the mysterious ‘entity’ is not the typical Casper the ghost, as the 34-year-old claims that chairs are hitting the floor, the blinds are moving sharply and the television is switching on and off at all hours of the day.
He believes the eerie encounters were sparked by a 1965 Winston Churchill coin he found in his neighbor’s banging kitchen cupboard.
After leaving TikTok users completely shocked by ‘authentic’ and ‘raw’ images, Leighton revealed that many had urged him to contact a priest or medium.
He said: ‘I didn’t see anything physically. People say it’s a ghost or poltergeist and maybe even a demon.
“Thousands of people from the paranormal community have commented on my videos saying that a priest or a medium can help, but can also make things much worse.”
Leighton hit back at doubters, claiming the experts who tried to debunk his videos have failed.
‘Doubters become believers. Paranormal experts and digital editing experts around the world have tried to debunk my videos,
“But they cannot be debunked because the raw footage was shot from my phone while I was holding it, and the activity is right in front of people’s eyes.”
The online paranormal community has urged him to seek help from a medium or priest, but Leighton said he is more annoyed than scared by his unwanted roommate.
Although his family and friends are concerned, Leighton becomes more irritated because he has to constantly close his blinds.
“I’m tired of getting up to close my blinds after they open, and seeing the lights and TV turn off,” he said
‘I’m starting to get used to it now, but some things still scare me sometimes. I don’t know what potential new things could happen, so I’m always on guard.
“I can’t really do anything but bear it until I figure out how to stop it all.”
