Fleur East says Strictly’s racy outfits and sexy dances has been a ‘blessing’ for her marriage

Fleur East has said that Strictly Come Dancing has been a “blessing” for her marriage as the sexy dancing and sassy outfits have reignited the flame.
The singer-songwriter, 35, achieved perfect scores at Blackpool’s legendary ballroom and made it through another week of Strictly this year.
But rather than feel the effects of the dance show’s curse on her relationship with husband Marcel Badiane-Robin, who she’s been with for 12 years, she’s insisted that the seductive performances have worked wonders for the long-term couple.

Speaking on The Graham Norton Show, Fleur expressed her pride in reaching the top of the leaderboard last week.
She and professional dance partner Vito Coppola scored the first 40 of the series with their couple’s dance to a Destiny’s Child Megamix.
“It’s the show’s most iconic week and to get there and score so well was incredible, especially because it was tough being in the dance twice and getting a lot of harsh criticism,” she told talk show host Graham.
And as for the strict curse, she ruled out any possibility of it affecting her marriage.

“The show has been a blessing to my marriage, it’s been amazing,” she said.
“We’ve been together for 12 years and how many times in your marriage do you dress up and look different every week, and get the chance to do all those sexy dances in front of your husband?
‘After the Argentine tango, it was like we were married again! It was amazing.’
Many celebrities in long-term relationships and marriages have fallen victim to the dreaded Strict Curse.
Lovers: Fleur told Graham Norton, “We’ve been together for 12 years and how many times in your marriage do you dress up and look different every week, and get to do all those sexy dances in front of your husband?”
In August, Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty and his girlfriend Eirianedd Munro became the latest couple to split following his stint on the show in 2021.
Stars train for hours with their professional partners before taking the stage for steamy and intimate performances – and in many cases, this has caused lovers to be kicked to the curb.
Countdown’s math whiz Rachel Riley’s relationship with her professional partner Pasha Kovalev eventually ended her marriage to her husband of just one year.
Stacey Dooley’s boyfriend of five years Sam Tucknott, 30, revealed she had left him – and in an interview he called her dance partner, three-times married to Kevin Clifton, 36, a slippery snake.

She was on the Friday night show alongside Daniel Craig, Clive Myrie, Sir Ian McKellen and John Bishop.
Live in the studio this week was Charlie Puth, singing his new single Loser before joining Graham for a chat.
Earlier this week, Fleur was twenty minutes late for her own breakfast program on Hits Radio, still struggling with her grueling ’15-hour workday’.
The Strictly Come Dancing star was revealed to be ‘missing in action’ by co-hosts James Barr and Matt Haslam when they hit the air at 6am.
The singer was training for the BBC dance competition and slept through her alarm after rehearsing with partner Vito Coppola until 10pm the night before.
Star-studded: Daniel Craig also appeared on The Graham Norton Show this week, where he hilariously admitted that he “flatly ignored” the directions to speak with a southern accent in his new movie Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery
James and Matt reassured the audience, “She’ll be here soon. She currently works 15 hours a day, so we need to give her some slack!’
When Fleur finally got on the air, she admitted, “I slept a little too well last night guys — I danced past 10 p.m., which explains the bags under my eyes.” Bags for life!’
The pair hope to impress judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas this week with their ‘Fleurito’, a sensual rhumba on the Sugababes Too Lost In You.
