Fleur East introduces her newborn baby daughter to her former Strictly partner and ‘crazy uncle’ Vito Coppola

Fleur East has shared a glimpse of the moment she introduced her newborn to her former Strictly Come Dancing partner Vito Coppola this weekend.

The It Takes Two presenter, 36, welcomed her daughter Nova with husband Marcel Badiane-Robin last month, after a dramatic birth that saw her deliver on the living room floor.

After a few weeks of getting used to being a new mother, Fleur invited Vito, 31, to meet the little one for the first time on Sunday.

The professional dancer teamed up with Fleur on Strictly in 2022, where they reached the final and came second.

Fleur shared a slew of adorable photos of Vito meeting Nova and joked that he was Nova’s “crazy uncle” before saying the pair were already “best friends.”

She posted a selfie with all three of them together and wrote: “Nova’s crazy uncle Vito came to visit and it’s fair to say they get along great.”

In another shot, Vito beamed with joy as he lifted Nova to his face, with Fleur captioning it: “Best friends!”

Fleur confirmed the arrival of her first child in an Instagram post last week, revealing that she and Marcel, 35, had welcomed a baby girl named Nova.

She looked radiant in a slew of snaps that accompanied the announcement as she carried the toddler on her chest while out and about with Marcel.

The former X Factor star admitted it was already difficult to remember what life was like before she became a mother as she revealed the dramatic birth.

Fleur wrote: ‘And just like that our little girl, Nova, is here!! Our daughter entered the world crouching in the arms of my husband and I on our living room floor.”

“One day I will share my birth story with you (what a RIDE!), but for now we are resting and doing well.”

“So grateful to the amazing midwives who were by my side, my birth partners (my aunt Tina and my husband @marcel__robin) and our entire family who helped us and showered us with love.”

‘It really takes a village! I am so grateful to God for this blessing. Our little Nova was born on March 22 and it feels like she has always been there.’

Fans and famous friends rushed to the comments section to send their well wishes, with Vito being one of the first.

The Italian gushed: ‘LOVE YOU GUUUUYYYYYYYSSSSS Congratulations and welcome to NOVA’, while his other Strictly partner Ellie Leach wrote: ‘Oh Fleur, welcome to the world baby Nova’.

Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse gushed: ‘Congratulations mum’ and former winner Hamza Yassin wrote: ‘Congratulations to both of you. I can’t wait to meet Nova, and of course you guys. XXX’.

While Joanne Clifton added: ‘Oh my god CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!’ and Angelica Bell said, “The facts are out! CONGRATULATIONS MOM AND DAD XX’.

Fleur announced she was expecting her first child on New Year’s Day, later sharing the first photo of her baby bump and joking: ‘When Netflix and Chill go too far’.

She and Marcel have been dating since 2010. They first met in a bar in 2009 when he was working as a waiter, but Fleur was dating someone else at the time.

A year later, the singer and fashion designer reconnected and started dating before tying the knot nine years later in Morocco in June 2019.

Fleur gave a rare insight into their relationship as they discussed the proposal, saying: ‘I said yes straight away! How Marcel did everything was just amazing…

‘We’re in a very traditional Japanese hotel and there were flower petals on the bed and champagne… Then I turned around and he was there, with the ring.

‘He said: “Fleur East, will you be my wife?” I could not believe it. The ring is so beautiful and yellow is my favorite color.’

Their relationship first became public when Fleur took part in The X Factor, with an insider telling The Sun that the pair had ‘secret meetings’ during rehearsals.

They said: ‘They’ve been dating for a while and it’s definitely serious. He is incredibly supportive of her X Factor success and wants her to go all the way, just as she is really supportive of his fashion career.
