The Crow remake hit theaters on Friday, August 23, and is expected to hit streaming platform Starz around February 2025.
The film already announced an impending act of revenge and tells a story of true love. Bill plays the role of superhero Eric/The Crow, a role originally played by Bruce Lee’s son Brandon. He tragically died on the set of the original 1994 film.
The film still made it to theaters because Bruce had already completed most of the scenes at the time of the fatal accident.
The upcoming remake stars FKA as Eric’s fiancée Shelly Webster. It’s FKA’s first feature film appearance since 2019’s Honey Boy.
In September 2023, it was announced that Lionsgate had secured the reboot of The Crow after a heated bidding war.
According to the entertainment company, it reportedly paid an eight-figure sum for the domestic distribution rights to the film. Term.

Although Eric and Shelly’s deaths play out in the opening minutes of the 1994 version of The Crow, Rupert admits that he always wanted a more even balance of light and dark in his version of the story.
He said: ‘I never did any tests between Bill and Twigs. I had them for dinner when they first arrived [on set] in Prague and I was a bit like a nervous parent watching to see if there’s a spark, because you never know.
“And they were great. They hung out and got right into it.”
The Crow is based on the 1989 limited comic book series of the same name by James O’Barr. It has spawned five films, including the 2024 adaptation.
The first The Crow was a box office success, grossing $50.6 million against a budget of $23 million. It is preceded by The Crow: City of Angels (1996), The Crow: Salvation (2000) and The Crow: Wicked Prayer (2005).
