Five people found dead in Miami home with gunshot wounds in ‘murder-suicide’

BREAKING: Five people found dead in Miami home with gunshot wounds in ‘murder-suicide’

  • Five people killed in a Miami home in what police are calling a ‘murder-suicide’
  • Investigators say relatives called authorities just before 10 a.m. Friday.
  • Evidence suggests a man shot others dead before taking his own life

A twisted shooter shot four others inside a Miami-Dade home before turning the gun on himself in what police are calling a “murder-suicide.”

Investigators said a relative called authorities shortly before 10 a.m. Friday after being unable to reach someone within residents in the 14800 block of Northwest 87 Courthouse.

Police detective Álvaro Zabaleta said during a news conference at the scene that the bodies of two men and three women were found inside the house.

The relationship between the five people remains unclear and is still under investigation.

Zabaleta said officers entered the home through an open window and found a body before finding additional bodies.

Evidence at the scene near the body of a man found inside seemed to indicate that he had been the shooter before taking his own life.

Images from the neighborhood showed multiple police cars on the scene and police tape surrounding the grisly murder.

This is a developing story, more to come.
