Fitness influencer slammed over her ‘unhealthy’ salmon and noodle dish – after she uses one popular grocery item to make it

Rachel Dillon responds to criticism over a delicious meal she prepared for herself.

Last week, the 30-year-old fitness influencer shared an Instagram video of her one-pan salmon noodle recipe, with a step-by-step explanation.

The meal consisted of ingredients such as sweet soy sauce, sesame oil, two-minute noodles and lots of roasted vegetables.

However, several users on social media labelled the meal as ‘unhealthy’ and complained about its high sugar and salt content.

On Wednesday, Rachel candidly responded to the question posed to her followers: ‘Will eating noodles make me ‘unhealthy’?’

“After a heated discussion about my noodle recipes, I wanted to talk to you about my approach to health and fitness, and more specifically, nutrition,” she added in her caption.

‘Yes, I included 2-minute noodles in my recipe. And yes, they are often labeled as “unhealthy”, but I truly believe that all food has a place in a healthy, balanced diet and trying different foods is one of my favorite things to do! Food is meant to be enjoyed.

‘Flexible dieting is all about balance and moderation. This means no food is off-limits and you don’t have to feel guilty about enjoying your favorite foods in moderation – yes, even noodles!’

Rachel, a certified personal trainer and owner and founder of the workout app Move With Us, emphasized that flexible dieting is all about having a positive mindset when it comes to food, rather than labeling certain things as “good” or “bad.”

“When we restrict ourselves and label certain foods as ‘unhealthy,’ it can create a negative relationship with food, which can lead to feelings of guilt and overeating, even though we have access to those foods,” she added.

“By incorporating a variety of foods, we can maintain a healthy, balanced diet. It’s about creating a sustainable lifestyle rather than a perfect one.”

Rachel concluded her post by emphasizing the importance of a balanced diet and the importance of enjoying rich foods in moderation.

“Remember that it’s not the individual foods that determine our health, but the patterns of our eating habits and lifestyle choices over time. So the next time you see a recipe for 2-minute noodles, know that it’s perfectly fine to enjoy them as part of a balanced diet,” she said.

Rachel responded candidly, asking her followers, “Will eating noodles make me ‘unhealthy’?”

Alongside her post, Rachel shared a series of delicious meals ranging from fast food orders like Betty’s Burgers and ice cream to clean, home-cooked meals like steak and potatoes and a salad. “Reminder: Enjoy all the food!” she wrote

“This is MY approach. If it doesn’t work for you, that’s OK.”

Alongside her post, Rachel shared a number of delicious meals, ranging from fast food options like Betty’s Burgers and ice cream to simple, home-cooked meals like steak and potatoes with salad.

In the comments on her original video, fans expressed their dismay at the recipe’s “processed” foods.

“Looks good, but those noodles are processed. You had to watch them being made, so that’s not good for you,” someone commented, before suggesting they replace them with “something healthier.”

‘My goodness this is so unhealthy, sweet soy [sauce] is like 100g of sugar in 100g [sauce]this is only nice because it makes you [addicted]’, wrote another.

“I love it when I see nutritionists acting like trash or nurses being overweight,” said one. “Smh, this is our society’s problem.”
