Fitness influencer Ashy Bines vomits ‘every 20 minutes’ on Jetstar Bali to Brisbane flight

Vomiting insect sweeps through Jetstar flight as passengers spit throughout five-hour flight back from Bali: ‘The smell was disgusting’

  • Ashy Bines blamed ‘Bali belly’ for in-flight illness
  • Several passengers reportedly ill on JQ58 to Brisbane

An Aussie fitness influencer has opened up about the ‘worst flight ever’ after throwing up nearly the entire five-hour flight back from Bali.

Ashy Bines, her husband Steve and two children were waiting in the terminal to go back to Brisbane when she started feeling sick on Sunday.

Bines, who has five million followers across various social media platforms, described her horrific ordeal on Instagram.

Trainer Ashy Bines and her relatives were so ill on JQ58 bound for Brisbane on Sunday evening that other passengers complained that she should not have boarded

She revealed that she threw up before the flight, collapsed before boarding, and then was constantly sick throughout the flight with her son Taj also vomiting.

“The whole flight Taj and I were spitting on and off…probably every 20 minutes,” Ms Bines said.

“At one point I spat into my spit bag and held Taj’s spit bag and he roared his eyes.”

“I was like, ‘Oh my God, we’re all going down.’ It was terrible, it was so, so hard, it was the hardest flight I’ve ever had.’

Ms Bines said the ordeal began in the terminal as she waited to board her flight.

“I spit out in the toilets at the airport a few times and I think it must have been something we all ate for breakfast,” she said.

“But I spat a few times and I thought, ‘No, it’s not enough to knock me out, I’ll be fine.'”

“And when I got on the plane and handed over the tickets, I literally passed out. I completely collapsed.’

In a separate post, Ms Bines blamed ‘Bali belly’ for ending her ‘amazing holiday’.

Ms Bines was among the passengers who were unwell on the flight, according to fellow traveler and Queenslander James Foley.

Mr. Foley told Yahoo he couldn’t sleep or eat because of the ‘disgusting’ smell.

He said the flight was “absolutely awful” and “the worst flight I’ve ever been on.”

A spokesperson for Jetstar told Daily Mail Australia it was ‘contacting’ Ms Bines and Mr Foley to ‘understand better what happened’.

“We are sorry to hear that these customers were unwell and recognize that it would have been an unpleasant experience for others seated near them,” he said.

“Customers who are too ill to fly should contact us before traveling or talk to our crew so we can assist with their booking and consider alternative travel arrangements.”

Daily Mail Australia approached Ms Bines for comment.
