First official trailer for Murder Mystery 2: Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler are full-time detectives

The first official trailer for Murder Mystery 2 dropped on Monday morning.

Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler are seen as full-time detectives as they head to Paris to try to solve a new case after their friend Maharaja was kidnapped during their glitzy wedding in a tropical location.

The highly anticipated action-packed sequel will be released on March 31.

Aniston, 53, reprises her role as Audrey Spitz, while Adam plays her clumsy husband Nick Spitz.

The Friends vet shared on Instagram Monday: “We’re back…March 31st!!”

The trailer opens with the couple at home as they talk about being invited to their friend Maharajah’s lavish wedding in a tropical location.

Aniston says that maybe they should think twice before going to the wedding because the last time they went to a big, flashy event “a lot of people died.”

Sandler is unaware of his latest experience, as seen in the first Murder Mystery movie.

They are then seen arriving at the wedding of Maharajah (played by Adeel Akhtar).

They are touched by the elegant room and the gifts left for them, one of which is furry pink handcuffs, leading to flirty banter between the married couple.

As they head to the wedding, they are filled with excitement, but when the groom arrives on an elephant, he falls off the animal, shocking the guests.

It turns out that it is not Maharajah but a dead man.

Sandler thinks quickly as he sees the stunt as a “distraction” while Maharajah is taken away, and he’s right.

Adam steps outside to find Maharajah being taken away against his will on a speedboat while the bad guys shoot the detective.

The kidnappers demand $50 million be delivered to them in Paris for the Spitz to pack up and head to France.

Once there, they run into several bad guys with guns as they do everything they can to try and find their friend.

The movie has been on the promotional bandwagon for weeks now with new footage of them shared last week.

In one of the photos, Jennifer has her hair up while modeling a black coat and is holding luggage in one hand and a cell phone in the other. Adam appears to have had a couture makeover as he has done so in fancy clothes.

The next photo shows Jennifer in a fluffy white robe with her hair down as Adam stands behind her.

In April they finished the film in Paris and Jennifer shared images from the set.

The Friends alum looked remarkably youthful with her faded blonde hair as she stood behind her friend.

The Hollywood icon also shared photos from the set where she was putting on her makeup and posing with her glam outfit.

And in her caption, Brad Pitt’s ex-wife revealed that they finished filming the sequel in Paris. “Merci Paris, that’s a conclusion,” the Morning Show actress wrote.

The original Murder Mystery is about a married couple who were framed for the death of an elderly billionaire while on vacation abroad.

Initially on vacation to rekindle the flame of their marriage, the couple is forced to go on the run.

Its sequel, Murder Mystery 2, was announced in September 2021, more than two years after the first film was released on Netflix.

The streaming service announced that the movie stars will return for “another international adventure full of intrigue and mischief,” according to tv line.

Jennifer and Adam first worked together on the romantic comedy film Just Go With It, which was released in 2011.

Hollywood’s busy favorite is also busy with her series The Morning Show, starring Reese Witherspoon.
